I used to teach an elective subject currently called "FEM in Nonlinear Analysis of Engineering Materials" to 4th year civil engineering students. The course covered certain aspects of nonlinear FEM modelling, focusing on general issues and algorithms. The students solved in the lab selected two-dimensional plasticity problem with FEAP or DIANA.

The programme of the course and recommended literature are available here (in Polish).

Here is an old DIANA tutorial (in Polish).

Since 2005 I used to teach a similar course to 2nd year doctoral students, for first 10 years in cooperation with Prof. M. Radwańska and Prof. W. Cecot.

The programme of this course and recommended literature are available here (in Polish).

Then the number of teaching hours was reduced from 45 to 30 and recently I teach this course to students of the Doctoral School of CUT according to the following programme (in Polish).
