This research is related to the one on regularized description of localized deformations and was focused on the following topics:

• Cam-clay model in numerical analysis of instabilities in two-phase geomaterials, see the dissertation of A. Stankiewicz;
• Finite-element analysis of static and dynamic cracking phenomena in (reinforced) concrete using gradient damage-plasticity, see the dissertation of A. Wosatko.

Moreover, two important issues of concrete modelling were considered:

• Modelling of chloride corrosion and resultant fracture in RC elements, see the dissertation of M. German;
• Modelling of concrete-concrete interface in composite pre-stressed girders with insight into time effects and cracking, see the dissertation of Ł. Jarno.
