Till 2005 we taught Structural Mechanics to civil engineering students
of 3rd-4th year (major Computational Mechanics).
The course lasted 3 semesters and covered statics, stability
and dynamics of statically determinate and indeterminate framed
structures, including beams, trusses, arches and frames in 2D and 3D.
The analytical force and displacement methods as well as the basics
of displacement based FEM for framed structures were discussed.
The course also contained influence lines. During the classes
the students solved 22 problems analytically and with computer
assistance.
The programme of the course is available
here (in Polish).
