Abstract

In a continuum approach to concrete fracture a classical and enhanced Rankine plasticity theory is used. In order to limit localization the enhanced theory employs a failure function which is dependent on the Laplacian of a fracture intensity measure.

Two mixed mode concrete fracture experiments, i.e. a shear-box test and the dowel disk test are simulated.
