Abstract

The \anka\ finite element code is used in the numerical analysis of phisically and geometrically nonlinear problems. Inelastic constitutive relations are applied to steel and reinforced concrete surface structures.

Two examples are presented: large elastic-plastic deflections of a cylindrical panel as well as cracking and large deformations of a cooling tower shell.
