Abstract

The development of numerical reinforced concrete modelling is summarized. A gradient-enhanced plasticity-based description of smeared cracking in concrete is suggested.

An example of a four-point bending of a beam without shear reinforcement is computed taking into account the bond-slip between concrete and reinforcement. A comparison with the experimental results is made.
